In the summer of 2006 we decided it was time to add a new member to the family. My husband Marc is a shepherd guy thru and thru and my dog of choice was always the Irish Wolfhound. We had a shepherd already but in my search for a wolfhound I stumbled across The Shiloh Shepherd on an internet search for breeders. It was magnificent dog, so I decided to do some research on the breed to see if it was the dog for us (Marc not being all that keen on a wolfhound). In my search I found that there were 2 camps for the Shiloh, the ISSR and the other so I started with the ISSR since the lead of this registry was the breed founder and their breeding program was strict, striving for the betterment of the Shiloh Shepherd in health and temperament which was very important to us. I contacted a couple of breeders and found Guardian Kennels in Brooks Alberta only 3 hours away a road trip was in order to meet a real Shiloh to see if they were all they were made out to be. Vanessa's dogs were amazing, large wonderful personalities and all we could ever want so we added our name to her list for a puppy from one of her upcoming litters in the spring and waited for what seemed like forever.
Guardians Noble Reign came to us in July 2007 and we haven’t looked back. Shilohs are the dog for us and in May 2010 Daysprings Timbaland Jaxx from Timbaland Shilohs in Burmis Alberta made our house his home.
